These rails are installed by using 2 bolts on each end and one in the center for a total of ten.

REESE OUTBOARD INSTALLATION KITS 10 BOLT

 Here is an option to install your fifth wheel.  "OUTBOARD INSTALLATION BRACKETS" Are designed to work with New Reese R31053 48" rails.
Previously all rails were shorter in length and fastening was completed inside the truck frame, where gas tanks, shock mounts, fuel lines etc. sometimes make the install more difficult.
By using the R30153 rails and "outboard Install Kit" all work will be completed on the outside of the truck frame, where less obstruction is encountered
Outboard kits are designed for pickups and will not work on cab and chassis
