All Brake Controls operate
on the principle of an electronically generated output current to apply
the electric trailer brakes in conjunction with the brake lights of the
tow vehicle. This basic design assures that the trailer brakes will always
lead the tow vehicle brakes when they are applied.
Installing Brake Controllers can be fairly simple. Hidden Hitch provides
"Brake Mate" Installation Kits that provide everything required
to perform an installation. Some vehicles make installing extremely simple
by supplying OEM connectors under the dash. Hidden Hitch offers
inexpensive adapters to connect Brake Controllers on late model Ford and
Dodge trucks.

Features:
7-Way Trailer Emulator is used for the
proper installation and set-up of a
brake control when a trailer is not
readily available. Brake control set-up
is accomplished using a built-in load
module that will simulate electric
magnet brakes on a trailer. (The
emulator will also check electrical
continuity of all circuits in the 7-Way
blade style connector.)
