Everyone
wants a no drill install which often involves weld nuts. ......Weld
nuts are threaded nuts that are welded inside the frame and often
the threads are very rusted, no matter how new the
vehicle. Weld nuts threads MUST be cleaned out and / or possibly
tapped using a tap prior to lifting and attempting an
install. Some customers are sure that we shipped the
wrong size bolts as they will not go in very far turn
hard or stop. Make certain after cleaning the threads that
all bolts go in and out of the weld nuts before you
attempt an install. Failure to follow these instructions may result
in the weld nuts breaking off inside the frame. A professional
may be needed to complete this install. Siennas,
Saturn Vues,Odysseys and Equinoxs are a
few of the many we get calls about.

Is
this hitch "Hidden"?
|
|
"Hidden
Hitch" is a brand name. It does not imply that the hitch is not
visible when installed. We NEVER state that any hitch we sell is
hidden from view, as all hitches are visible under the vehicle…
some more than others. We offer a PDF at each application for
customers to preview the instructions on
all brand hitches. From the installation information, PDF file, and
engineers drawing of each hitch you must decide if it meets with
your satisfaction prior to purchase.

Yes
It's
really in there. The manufacture does make it difficult to
locate sometimes. Check inside the receiver tube or crossbar
of your hitch.

All "no drill installations" will state "No Drilling
Required" If it does NOT state that then some drilling is required.

we can best answer that question. All orders are normally
processed and shipped direct from the closest stocking
warehouse. You will be made aware of any backorders via e-mail and
will have the option of proceeding or canceling the

Yes, We offer installation PDF's of our hitches
at each application.These PDF's will offer the installation
instructions and a pic of what the hitch will look like. If
you still have a concern our Customer Service pages will
offer phone numbers and e-mail addresses to our
manufactures.
Installation instructions for

You must contact us first and order the product, but cash and carry
sales are available on stocked items. Non-stock items are also
available, but subject to shipping charges. Prices may vary from

Sometimes we
are able to do that. There is a $250.00 minimum and a 10% service
charge based on total cost of all parts. All orders are pre-paid
using a credit card. No COD's. Please e-mail us with your order and
we will advise.

What if my
hitch does not fit?
|
|
Expect
your hitch to arrive with the mounting flanges pushed in
or out up to several inches that occurred during
shipping. Also the welding process when manufactured will
"pull" hitch flanges in or out of shape.
This is typical with every hitch we sell or install and is
easily remedied.
If
you lift up a hitch and bolt one side then look at the
other it will be off every time. We do not attempt an
install until the hole centers on the hitch match the
hole center spread on the vehicle frame. There are
several ways to accomplish this. We hold the hitch firmly,
place a towel over the flange and bump it against a
sold surface such as an wooden electrical pole or
a brick or block wall...a mallet and wood block could
work also. This does not chip or mark the hitch and is
easy to do.This will not affect the integrity of the
hitch and we complete this task this with every hitch we
install.
Why
must I do this?... With the wider SUV's and mini
vans with underbody storage the hitches had to be stretched
across the body then extended all the way up to the
frame for attachment. This design leaves the side
flanges extremely vulnerable making it all but
inevitable they arrive out of shape.

Here
is an example of a customer who called very unhappy and said
his hitch did not fit:
The
spacing between the holes was too close by approximately
1/2". (37.5" center-to-center vs. the specified
38.06" As a professional mechanical Engineer I'm not
prone to using the "get the bigger hammer"
approach to things that don't fit.
We determined that one side of the hitch was bent. Your
suggestion of bending the side plates of the hitch to
provide the required spacing worked. Though I was hesitant
and skeptical as to whether I could bend it. I was able to
make the required adjustments and make it fit after some
work. Thank you

hitch is bent. Can I return it?
|
Your hitch receiver may
arrive with the mounting flanges pushed out or in that
occurred during shipping. These flanges can be easily pushed
back to their original position so the holes will line
up for installation.

only difference is the label.
